At Elemental Therapy, adult services focus on improving communication, cognition, and overall functional independence in daily life. Therapy is individualized and designed to support real-world skills across home, work, and social environments.

What Is “Speech Therapy” for Adults?

Speech therapy for adults goes far beyond speech alone.

It includes the evaluation and treatment of communication, cognitive, Voice, Fluency, and swallowing functions that impact everyday life. Many adults seek services not just for speech clarity, but for support with memory, attention, problem-solving, voice, and overall communication effectiveness.

Therapy is designed to be practical, functional, and directly applicable to daily routines and responsibilities.

Insurance & Medicare Information

Elemental Therapy is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. A superbill may be available upon request for clients who wish to submit claims to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Due to federal regulations, services may not be provided on a private-pay basis for individuals enrolled in Medicare. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please reach out before scheduling.

Who May Benefit from Services?

Adult speech therapy may be beneficial for individuals who:

Have experienced a stroke, brain injury, or neurological condition

Notice changes in memory, attention, or thinking skills

Have difficulty communicating clearly or effectively

Experience voice changes or vocal strain

Have concerns with swallowing or eating safely

Want to improve independence in daily tasks

Therapy is tailored to each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and communication needs, with a focus on improving function, confidence, and quality of life.

Our Process

From consultation to therapy, each step is designed to provide clear guidance and personalized support throughout your communication journey.

Step 1: Consultation (Optional)

A brief consultation is available to discuss concerns, ask questions, and determine whether speech therapy services are appropriate. This is a great starting point if you are unsure whether to schedule an evaluation.

Step 2: Initial Evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation is completed to assess communication strengths and areas of need. This session includes a clinical interview and formal and/or informal assessment. Following the evaluation, a personalized treatment plan and recommendations will be provided.

Step 3: Therapy Sessions

Ongoing therapy sessions are designed to address individualized goals based on evaluation results. Sessions focus on improving functional communication skills through structured activities, guided practice, and strategies for real-world carryover.
